Personal Biography
Jason Davis was born in Illinois, the
third son of farmers. He spent his time on the Davis' huge farm working the
fields. Schoolwork was secondary according to the Davis family, but many was the
time when Jason ran the field robotics with a book in his lap. Evenings spent
staring up at the night sky left him with the urge for something more, something
beyond the day-to-day drudgery of farm work.
His parents were surprised when
colleges vied for Jason to apply at their campuses. They gave in only when he
made it clear that he had no intention of remaining on the farm ... no intention
of even remaining on the Earth. His brothers were astonished that anyone would
want to leave the farm. Jason left for San Francisco with the disapproving eyes
of his family upon him. He is still considered to be the "black sheep" of the
family, for this reason.
Jason dug in and worked hard at his
studies. He was not a quick study and had to plod away at it, but he did and
graduated in the top 25 of his class. He applies a dogged determination with
humor, and was popular with his classmates.
Upon graduation, he was sent to Jupiter
Station for further study. While there, Jason became interested in
weight-lifting and continues to do so to this day, in his position as Stellar
Cartographer's Mate on the NX-04 Challenger. |
